It’s Friday, which means (a) we’re heading out for a three-margarita lunch, and (b) before we do that, we need to unload the handful auto-related links we’ve been hoarding. See you at the bar!

  • The friendly folks at Queers4Gears have taken HRC’s Corporate Equality Index and cross-referenced it with the list of NASCAR sponsors. While we think our colleagues should probably spend a little more time boozing and a little less time poring over Excel spreadsheets, we’re happy to see their results. Of the NASCAR sponsors rated by the HRC, roughly half scored a perfect 100! (Lowes, Goodyear, NAPA, Sunoco, ExxonMobile? Not so much. Shop elsewhere.)
  • Our pal at Vanity Fair, Brett Berk, leads a rough life. The poor schmuck had to spend all last week schlepping around the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, sipping mint juleps and looking at beautiful rides like Rita Hayworth’s 1953 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe by Ghia, which she received as a stocking-stuffer from the world’s richest man at the time, Prince Ali Khan. If we were the thoughtful type, we’d fire up a Kickstarter campaign to help Brett find a decent gig.
  • Scion of Manhattan recently held an LGBT Expo, and FOG (“Friend of Gaywheels”) Karter sent us a nifty clip of Miss Crystal Demure, slipping into something more comfortable on the showroom floor — namely, a Scion iQ. We can’t say for certain if Crystal is a big girl or if the iQ is just a tad small, but we have our theories. Behold:
