Fiat Chrysler may have been first out of the gate, but several more automakers have sent us their comments on this morning’s historic Supreme Court ruling that brings marriage-equality to all 50 states:
BMW
As a global company that advocates diversity and inclusion, BMW Group in the U.S. affirms the Supreme Court decision as it honors the relationships of many of our employees and customers. A workplace environment free of prejudice is a fundamental commitment of our company.
GENERAL MOTORS
Many of our employees and customers and their families are celebrating today and we support them.
More generally, GM prides itself on providing an inclusive and protective work environment for all of our employees, including members of the LGBT community. We strive to lead by example when it comes to equality, and we have a strong company-wide anti-discrimination policy that states that GM does not tolerate discrimination of any type.
HONDA
Honda supports a vision of a diverse and inclusive society based on respect for the individual.
INFINITI
Infiniti supports equality for all and strives to create a respectful environment where everyone feels they can make their best contribution. Infiniti considers the LGBT community important from both an employee and a customer perspective and has established inclusive policies and practices. This decision further enables achieving that equality.
NISSAN
Nissan supports equality for all and strives to create a respectful environment where everyone feels they can make their best contribution. Having a perfect score on the HRC Corporate Equality Index, Nissan considers the LGBT community important from both an employee and a customer perspective and has established inclusive policies and practices. This decision further enables achieving that equality.
SUBARU
We are happy any time we see equality triumph.
We’ll post more as they come in!
