Last Friday, USA Today’s “Tech Deep Dive” podcast had a sit-down with Nolan Bushnell, the man who founded both Atari and Chuck E. Cheese. Basically, he created the 1980s.
As a visionary, Bushnell’s exactly the kind of person you want to ask about the future. And Bushnell’s vision of the future — specifically, 2035 — includes cities teeming with autonomous cars because human-driven vehicles have been outlawed. He also thinks that delivery services will start sending packages to your door via an ad hoc network of vehicles that sounds a lot like Uber. Which is fine, because honestly, UPS drives me nuts.
