Somehow, we missed the fact that yesterday was Guinness World Records Day. We totally would’ve sent flowers.
Stunt driver Alastair Moffatt, however, was fully aware of the day’s significance. He took part in the festivities by parallel parking a MINI Cooper like an A-grade badass — while flying down a track backwards, executing a 270-degree turn, and landing smack-dab in a parking spot with about 13.4 inches to spare in front and behind the car.
Moffat now holds bragging rights to the record of “Tightest parallel parking in reverse”. The award comes with no trophy that we know of, or any cash prize, but damn, that’s some good parking. Sadly, that’s not the kind of thing we learned in Driver’s Ed.
