I have a secret – I am a Project Runway fan. Not a crazed “I have to see it or I’ll go crazy” fan but I do enjoy watching Tim Gunn stare down the designs and scowl while saying “you’ve got a lot of work to do”. Oh yeah, and the bitchy, backstabbing, whiny designers can be fun too.
When I happened to be watching the other night and it was an automotive-themed episode of Project Runway, I was fast-clapping inside my head. Never did I imagine that I’d be able to actually relate to what they were doing on the show. Ok, that might be a reach but with Saturn an integrated sponsor, it promised to be interesting.
Interesting indeed! Not only was the design challenge really fascinating, but there was our friend Christopher Webb on the rooftop introducing the challenge to the designers. Chris is the lead color designer for GM and could probably teach those designers a thing or two about fashion.
We’ve put in a request for an interview with Chris and should have it up soon. While we wait, check out our friend Lisa from GM on her Project Runway Blog. Tell her what you thought of the episode and the outcome by clicking HERE.

I’m sad to see the hottie Keith go but he was clearly out of his league in this challenge. In my mind Korto should have won. That seatbelt jacket dress was really amazing. What do YOU think? Tell Saturn and Lisa!
