The brand-new 2024 Buick Envista, which closely mirrors the Chevy Trax, has a lot going for it should you be looking for a small car with value and some style.
If you can still find a new one, you should be able to get it for around $22K US, which is a great price for any new car regardless of size.
Kelley Blue Book describes this car as a “subcompact SUV with a sleek profile aimed at young city dwellers.” That’s about right IMHO. If you are on-the-go and really just need a car for you and the love of your life (human, animal or both), the Envista should serve you well.
(Buick also has cars called Encore, Envision and Enclave, which are also small SUVs and are very similar to the Envista; so just make sure you are looking at the correct EN-car while shopping.)
As you would expect from Buick, which used to be the ultimate in premium car brands, the Envista rides wonderfully. No jerking or sluggishness. There is a lot of style, but it still is useful as your everyday workhorse.
For a small car, there really is plenty of room inside the 2024 Envista. If you are a Plus-Size like me, this may not be your ideal car. But if you are fairly good about eating your veggies and drinking plenty of water (I need to do more of both),this should work well for you.
I tested the Sport Touring trim, which is their middle range trim. Power windows, keyless start, lane-keep assist, forward collision alert… and they make their backup camera (now required on all cars in the US) a High-Definition camera. For the price, this is truly worth testing and seeing how you fit in.
But please keep in mind that this an urban gay car for your simple life needs. If you have a lot of clutter, the Envista just may help you (or force you) to de-clutter your life.
Happy New Year from all of us here at gaywheels.com. There is no pretending that 2025 will be smooth sailing. Honestly, it will be rough for all of us.
I have never felt more uncertain about anything than I do right now.
But, as Gloria Gaynor sang, we will survive. And I believe we will grow stronger. Yes, what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, as Kelly Clarkson sang.
Please know that gaywheels.com will always be here for you, come rain or shine or…..
…. I just don’t want to think about it, to be honest.
