2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK – Preview

We drove the new 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK recently and wanted to make sure we shared photos with you before the full review gets posted. What is it? The 2010 GLK is Mercedes-Benz’s entry into the compact luxury SUV market. It is based on their solid C-Class platform and will compete directly with the Acura RDX, Infiniti EX35, BMW X3 and Land Rover LR2. The GLK will only be available in the GLK350 trim featuring a 268 horsepower engine mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission with either RWD or 4Matic AWD. [...]

Attendance was higher than expected with an approximate 200 LGBT auto enthusiasts walking the floor of the LA Convention Center and taking in all the new sheet metal. The show was overshadowed by the financial crisis in Detroit and GM and Chrysler were noticeably absent from the press days.
