A Case for Keeping Saab

I was asked my opinion on Saab by the Swedish newspaper Expressen. This is the article as was provided to them in English. One could write a book on this subject; I was limited to 4,000 spaces. The current global economic situation dictates that individuals and companies re-evaluate their financial situation and ascertain where they can cut back in order to survive the downturn. For a family, it may mean eating out less, buying fewer clothes or selling a vehicle that they don’t rely on. For an auto company…….. [...]

Memos from Motown – 2009 Detroit Auto Show

It is that time of the year again; the beginning of the Auto Show Season when everyone who’s anyone converges on downtown Detroit, MI for the North American International Auto Show. The show officially opens in a few hours and I’ll be reporting from the show floor and posting to this blog when time permits. As usual, I’ll choose a Top 10 from the show and post it next week. Santa’s Sleigh: Red, German & Dear

Every once in a while the stars align and the car I am assigned to fits perfectly with a trip I have planned. The latest celestial calibration featured the arrival of a 2009 Audi A4 Avant 2.0 T quattro the day of my departure for Vermont for the Christmas holiday. My assignment as uncle had me responsible for shuttling the gifts for my sister’s four ankle biters, 6 cases of Belgian beer for my brother-in-law (PALM – you should try it!), plus the luggage for two gay men that despite millions of miles of travel, can’t seem to pack lightly. While the current situation affects everyone in the country it is taking a disproportionate toll on small businesses, ours included. [...]

The GLK will only be available in the GLK350 trim featuring a 268 horsepower engine mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission with either RWD or 4Matic AWD. [...]

Gay Days at the LA Auto Show – Photos

We were a co-sponsor but sadly weren’t able to attend the first Gay Days at the LA Auto show this past Sunday. Attendance was higher than expected with an approximate 200 LGBT auto enthusiasts walking the floor of the LA Convention Center and taking in all the new sheet metal. We hope to have an entry from a reporter that was on site but we wanted to make sure you had a chance to see some photos taken by a representative of GM. [...]

Top 5 Cars from the LA Auto Show

The 2008 Los Angeles Auto show kicked off with media days this past Wednesday. The show was overshadowed by the financial crisis in Detroit and GM and Chrysler were noticeably absent from the press days. Ford was the sole domestic manufacturer to make our list and was almost lost in the slew of introductions from the import brands. Here are our Top 5 introductions from gay-friendly brands at the LA Auto show [...]
