Detroit, MI – GM rolled out the production version of the Chevy Volt Electric vehicle during the 100-year anniversary at their world HQ in downtown Detroit. The widely anticipated vehicle has been the subject of much media coverage and equal amount of doubt that GM could pull off what amounts to a revolution in personal propulsion.

We covered the Volts progress earlier this year and showed you a leaked photo in yesterday’s post. The real photos, courtesy of GM, are below and the Volt looks much better in person. I’ll report more opinions after I spend some time with the car in person (and after the thousand journalists stop hoarding the space around it).
