Top 10 Vehicles from Detroit Auto Show 2009

I attended the 2009 North American International Auto Show last week and as is custom, I chose the Top 10 vehicles from the show. Our criteria is that they have to be production vehicles from gay-friendly manufacturers in order to qualify. While some of the concepts introduced were HOT (Cadillac Converj anyone?), we stuck to our guns and picked vehicles that you’ll be able to drive in the near future. [...]

I’m Not Perfect, OK?

I know some of you might find this hard to believe but I am not perfect. There is the occasional typo in an article, a misspelling and every once in a blue moon a fact may be misrepresented. I blame it on age and my inability to focus at times. Sadly I have nothing to blame for my recent case of brain flatulence except minimized brain capacity. I was on two separate radio programs recently and in both, I made mistakes live on the air. Thanks to astute listeners, I’ve been corrected and am here to rectify the methane in the brain: [...]

A Case for Keeping Saab

I was asked my opinion on Saab by the Swedish newspaper Expressen. This is the article as was provided to them in English. One could write a book on this subject; I was limited to 4,000 spaces. The current global economic situation dictates that individuals and companies re-evaluate their financial situation and ascertain where they can cut back in order to survive the downturn. For a family, it may mean eating out less, buying fewer clothes or selling a vehicle that they don’t rely on. For an auto company…….. [...]

Santa’s Sleigh: Red, German & Dear

Every once in a while the stars align and the car I am assigned to fits perfectly with a trip I have planned. The latest celestial calibration featured the arrival of a 2009 Audi A4 Avant 2.0 T quattro the day of my departure for Vermont for the Christmas holiday. My assignment as uncle had me responsible for shuttling the gifts for my sister’s four ankle biters, 6 cases of Belgian beer for my brother-in-law (PALM – you should try it!), plus the luggage for two gay men that despite millions of miles of travel, can’t seem to pack lightly. [...]

Gaywheels Announces Our Own Bailout Plan

If you haven’t heard, the economy stinks. As a result, auto sales are the lowest in almost 20 years, consumers aren’t researching online and automotive companies are cutting back on advertising. While the current situation affects everyone in the country it is taking a disproportionate toll on small businesses, ours included. [...]
