Toyota has endured sorted success with its full-size pickups. The T100 was nice, but underwhelming. Same was true of the first-generation, not-quite-butch-enough Tundra. By gen-3, Toyota had constructed a new plant in Princeton, IN to assemble its full-girth full-size truck. It later moved to a gleaming new plant in San Antonio, TX, where the 2014 fourth-generation pickup, the first major update since 2007, is exclusively built.

When the 2012 Honda Civic was first released it was raked over the coals for uncharacteristically subpar driving dynamics,interior quality and the continued use of a five-speed automatic which apparently was outlawed during the time of Moses. Fast forward to last year and Honda gave every journalist human and canine who complained a serious smack down by improving the interior quality to best in class, bettering the ride, lowering road noise and improving the steering and handling feel. Frankly, we thought Honda perfected the Civic in 2013 but this year the company made yet more changes.

2014 Cadillac CTS Whips The Germans
The fact that the 2014 Cadillac CTS won Motor Trend magazine’s Car of the Year is not astonishing: the last-generation CTS did the same thing in 2008. But this year, it won against redesigned Mercedes E-Class and BMW 5-Series sedans, making a frontal attack on the German Bismarcks. It also beat the Corvette Stingray, Mercedes S-Class, Infiniti Q50, Mazda3, Mazda6, and Kia Cadenza. Take a breath.

“Fagbug Nation” Documentary Coming Soon! (Until Then, Enjoy This Trailer)
When last we heard from Erin Davies, she and the Volkswagen New Beetle dubbed the “Fagbug” were doing just fine.
As you might recall, that Beetle was just a plain ol’ Beetle until 2007 when — on the morning of GLSEN’s annual Day of Silence — Erin walked out to her car in Albany, New York and saw that it had been spray-painted with the words “fag” and “u r gay”. Some people might’ve been demoralized by that double-whammy of homophobia and poor spelling skills, but not Erin: she transformed her car into a rainbow-striped LGBT-friendly beacon, emblazoned with the word “FAGBUG” on both sides.
