Two of my favorite Lexus models of all time are the 2002 IS300 wagon and the current HS250h. The wagon was arguably ugly, but I liked the size, sporty feel, and impeccable build quality. It was also a little out of the Lexus mainstream, which added cachet. Despite its high price, the HS250h has a luxurious leather-lined cabin that also taps the tech genies for a powerful hybrid system, heads-up display, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and a space shuttle’s worth of toys. According to Bilerico, the Indiana Youth Group granted a few low-number plates to its major donors, which violated the contract that the group signed with the BMV. The BMV’s former communications director, Graig Lubsen, says that “traditionally, the BMV has allowed group to give out low-numbered plates as thank-you gifts to donor”. However, such activity is technically illegal and was grounds to cancel the contract, thus ending the sale of the group’s plate. [...]

We scored marriage-equality victories in Maryland, New Jersey, and Washington, and when Chris Christie vetoed that New Jersey bill, he was roundly, soundly booed for being on the wrong side of history (as we now say).
